shirting 05 is the fifth edition of shirting… project. it was launched as an art/fashion performance on May 4 2015 in kresija gallery in ljubljana, slovenia. this edition was designed by the platform thecollective as its fifth project. thecollective invited 7 designers to together develop a collection of 7 shirts around the concept of transparency. in order to merge their identities 7 sketchbooks were given, that then travelled between them in the principle of shirting… the books, also shown on the event, told a story of how the designing process develops. what is more, the last step of the designing process took place in front of the public with their participation. the first wearers thus wore unfinished shirts prior to the event, nevertheless, they commenced seven new chains of shirters following the principle of passing the shirt onto the next wearer. shirt on!
